As Wikipedia says, digital reputation is a factor in any community where the trust on that person, brand or product is important.
It is the perception that one has about the digital impact that someone or something has on Internet. Digital impact is the accumulation of the shared content, the feedback generated and the information and generation of the content created online.
What is monitoring Digital Reputation?
It is the process of following up on the internet references about a person, brand, product or service with a preset plan to react and manage any comment or feedback.
We define this as a process divided in three parts:
- Monitoring: Developing a continuous follow up system of the public opinion about a person, brand, product, service, and success or campaign lunch.
- Evaluation: Evaluate the risk associated to each comment based on its individuality, source, range and moment in time.
- Action: Answer, comment, react or emit a formal communication based on the result of the evaluation. It is very important to never ignore a comment.
